Our Safety Philosophy
Safety is our number one priority and we strive for a zero-harm working environment. Our fundamental aim is to ensure each of our employees and contractors returns home safely on a daily basis. This is not just a policy — it is a deeply held value shared by every member of the Ntsikitsana team, from the executive leadership to the operational floor.
Zero Harm Commitment
The health and safety of all Ntsikitsana employees, contractors and partners is our top priority and we are relentlessly striving for a zero-harm workplace. Our safety management system is built around internationally recognised standards and is continuously reviewed and improved based on operational learning and industry best practice.
We conduct regular safety audits, hazard identification exercises and emergency response drills across all our sites. All incidents — including near misses — are reported, investigated and used to strengthen our systems.
Employee Wellbeing
In addition to minimising health and safety risks related to the workplace, we also want to support our people to lead healthy lifestyles, given the immeasurable benefits that employee wellbeing brings to both company and individual. We offer access to occupational health services, wellness programmes, and mental health support for all employees and their immediate families.
Contractor & Partner Standards
All contractors and service providers working on Ntsikitsana sites are required to meet the same rigorous health and safety standards as our direct employees. Pre-qualification assessments, site inductions and ongoing safety monitoring ensure that every person on our operations is protected to the same high standard.
Safety Reporting
We maintain complete transparency in safety reporting. Our annual sustainability report includes full disclosure of safety performance data, incident statistics and improvement initiatives. We believe accountability is inseparable from genuine commitment to worker safety.
