Strategy & Responsibility

Mining for People & Planet

Our strategy is built on a triple bottom line — people, profit and planet — ensuring every operational decision creates sustainable value for all stakeholders.

Our Corporate Strategy

Ntsikitsana Minerals' strategy is anchored in the belief that responsible mining and commercial success are not mutually exclusive — they are mutually reinforcing. Our strategic framework integrates environmental stewardship, social investment and economic discipline into every operational decision.

We create sustainable value for our communities through a comprehensive socio-economic development strategy: creating jobs, choosing to buy local products and services, supporting new businesses, and providing the investment needed to drive development by partnering with government and NGOs.

"Ntsikitsana strives to make a real contribution to the triple bottom line — people, profit and planet."

Job Creation & Skills Development

We continuously find ways to improve the lives of both our people and the communities in which we live. Ntsikitsana will create approximately 300 new jobs across mining, processing, environmental management, administration and community liaison functions.

We need to ensure we can attract new talent while also retaining and developing the talent we already have in the business. Our structured learning and development programme provides technical training, leadership development and professional qualifications to all employees.

Higher Standards of Living

This includes enhancing the local environment to the benefit of employees and communities. The Company achieves this through various initiatives which aim to stimulate local socio-economic development, as well as by upholding high standards of environmental stewardship.

We invest in local infrastructure, healthcare access, educational facilities and community amenities — recognising that a thriving community is the foundation of a sustainable operation.

Environmental Policy

Our environmental management approach is built around four pillars: prevention of pollution, conservation of biodiversity, efficient use of natural resources, and progressive land rehabilitation. We conduct annual environmental impact assessments and maintain an open dialogue with regulatory authorities and community stakeholders.

Government & NGO Partnerships

We work closely with the Government of Lesotho, local authorities and civil society organisations to align our operations with national development priorities. These partnerships ensure that our investment in Mokhotlong delivers maximum impact and that community needs shape our operational plans.
